Timetable of the 100 Mile-, 100 km-, 71 km,- & 50 km- Race "Taubertal 100"

 

 

General Information:  

The "Taubertal 100" takes place every year on the first weekend of October. The Bank-Holiday "Day of German Unity" offers a long weekend to enjoy this event along with the family.

The Race-Track "Taubertal 100" is easy to reach by car along the
"Romantic Road". All Checkpoints are reachable by car.

Runners who stay the night in Wertheim or Gemünden, will have their luggage transported from Rothenburg to Wertheim or Gemünden. Luggage collection is during the check-in or on Saturday from 5:00 a.m. until 5:15 a.m. in front of the Hotel Rappen.

Runners with the Race distances 50 km and 71 km ride by train to Wertheim

A Shuttle-Bus will transport runners back to Rothenburg at each race-distance.
At 50 km (1:00 p.m.) at 71 km (4:00 p.m.) at 100 km (6:00 p.m.) and on Sunday at 10:00 a.m., and 100 Miles on Sunday (3:00 p.m.)

The Knights Dinner and Runner Celebration will be in the Castle of Wertheim on Saturday evening. The Knights Dinner is available as classic or vegetarian. It is also possible to order food ala carte.

Stay in Rothenburg or in the surrounding area (Creglingen or Bad Mergentheim are only 30 to 60 Minutes drive away)

The Parking is recommended at Parking-Area 3 "Parkplatz 3".

Drop-Bags are bags, marked with the start-number for individual equipment. Each runner up to 100 km can give up two drop bags for the for 20 km and 71 km (50 km Runners also a Drop Bag for 50 km). Runners of 100 Miles can give up three Drop Bags, one more for the 100 km Check Point.

The runner's luggage will be carried to Wertheim 100 km and to Gemünden 100 Miles.

At the Start warm clothing for 6 Degree is recommended for a chilly start and a Headlight.  In the afternoon temperatures can rise up to 25 C.

50 km:

A running time of 6:30 hours for 50 km to Bad Mergentheim  

At 12:30 p.m. is the Cut-Off Time for all Runners.

 

71 km:

A running time of 9:15 hours to Tauberbischofsheim  

At 3:15 p.m. is the Cut-Off Time for all Runners.

 

100 km:

A running time of 13:00 hours to Wertheim  

At 7:00 p.m. is the Cut-Off Time for the 100 km Runners.

A running Time of 14:00 hours for the 100 Mile Runners at 8:00 pm. 


100 Miles (161 km):

A running time of max. 26 hours to Gemünden is accepted

At 8:00 a.m. is the Cut-Off for 100 Miles in Gemünden

The 50 km- 71 km and 100 km Limit Time, is also a cut off for the

100 Mile Runners.


Runners who exceed the cut of time, will be disqualified.


Running Speed 100 Mile versus 100 km:

Until km 71, the slowest Speed is identical to all runners

Up to 71 km to 100 km, one hour more time, 4:45 hours for 29 km

Up to 100 km to 161 km, 12 hours time are available for 61 km


100 Miles in 13 hour = 12,37 km/h, equal to 48:30 min to 10 km

100 Miles in 20 hour =   8,05 km/h, equal to 1:14 h to 10 km

100 Miles in 26 hour =   6,20 km/h, equal to 1:36 h to 10 km
